The Philosophy Behind Retro Cellars

A Return to Authentic Winemaking
At Retro Cellars, we’re not just making wine - we’re curating an experience rooted in authenticity and heritage. Our winemaking philosophy draws on the traditions of Napa Valley while embracing a modern approach to wine crafting.
We focus on varietals like Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Syrah, all cultivated from small vineyards with a dedication to sustainable farming. Our vineyard on Howell Mountain, originally planted in the 1890s, produces grapes that tell the story of old-world Napa—where bold flavors meet finesse. Through early harvests and careful oak selection, we bring out elegance and balance in every bottle. Whether aged in French oak or crafted with gentler fermentation, each sip of Retro wine reflects precision, passion, and care.
When you pour a glass of Retro Cellars’ Petite Sirah, you're not just drinking a wine but becoming part of a story passed through generations. Every bottle is a tribute to old-school winemaking: authentic, soulful, and unapologetically bold.
