2021 Zinfandel Green & Red Vineyard

There are vineyards that simply know what they are. Green & Red is one of them.

Tucked into Chiles Valley on the eastern edge of Napa, this site has been farming Zinfandel the old way for decades — dry-farmed, hillside-grown, rooted in volcanic soils that don't ask much and give everything. It's the kind of place that makes the winemaker's job quiet work. You mostly try to stay out of the way.

The 2021 vintage came in with real energy. The season ran long and even, and the fruit from Chiles Valley reflected that — dark-berried and bright all at once, with a floral lift and an earthy, savory depth underneath. There's a liveliness to this wine that you feel from the first pour. Not loud. Just alive.

Antonio Galloni awarded it 95 points, calling it a wine of tremendous character from one of Napa's most distinguished Zinfandel sites. We'll let that speak for itself.
